The Fey

Unlike the Changelings, the Fey can fly indefinitely without need of rest, albeit their speed is but 24//. They can carry an individual of up to Max Lift with a 50% reduction in flight speed, above that limit an Endurance check is required and speed is penalized in a manner identical to the Changelings.

Their ability in Detect Motion Vectors will allow a member of the Fey to maneuver without vision; their ability is similar to that of a dolphin or bat's echolocation capability. Sound canceling powers will render this ability ineffective.

The Fey are an alien race. It is theoretically possible to banish a Fey using powers that specifically banish elementals. However, because they are not true elementals, they do not necessarily get banished to their home plane. Instead, they could end up pretty much anywhere. Thus Fey are understandably wary of high level Priests and Shaman. It is unknown how Fey reproduce (well, the Fey know, but they're not talking!) While they appear somewhat mammalian, they exhibit very little in the way of secondary sexual characteristics. They do have specific genders, but what gender a Fey may be is it not apparent if the alien is fully clothed. They are promiscuous with other races however, since copulation with members of Gaianar's native races cannot produce offspring.

The Fey have a hybrid metabolism. Being energy creatures trapped in physical form, they must consume both food and energy. Each day, a Fey must consume 1,200 calories in food and must be exposed to sunlight, strong wind, or storms a minimum of three hours each day. A Fey requires only 5 hours sleep each night.

The Fey have four subtypes: Blue, Indigo, Green, and Amber. The Blue and Indigo are more reserved, ordered, and lean toward good. Amber Fey often act like Human teenagers, regardless of their actual age. Green Fey are both mean and evil.
