This function causes the Mathematician's glass tablet to display environmental properties of an area far away. the sensor sweep senses a 1// x 1// area, and the area scanned can be controlled by the Mathematician. Scannable properties include: temperature, radiation, wind, moisture, poison, life, motion, iron/steel, and magnetism. The sensor scan does not let the mathematician see into these areas, instead it gives a general indication of the intensity of the presence of the properties detected. The sensor can scan through wood and aluminum, up to 1.5// stone, or up to 5' thick heavier metals such as steel.
